Its been a while...

No excuses, just been busy!

Yesterday I went snowboarding with a bunch of teens from camp. Needless to say today I am sore all over, but had so much fun. I spent a large amount of time sliding on my backside, side, face.

But a lot has been happening over the last few weeks, but I can't think of anything at the moment - I'm still processing my first cup of coffee.

NBA

Tonight I experienced my first NBA game. The Wizards were whipped by the Spurs, by some embarrassing score, but it was still a lot of fun to be there. Some friends just keep on being such a blessing to me.

Super Bowl Ads

How could I not mention the Super Bowl ads. Not as good in my opinion as last year, but the best was the rock, paper, scissors Bud light ad. Like paper could actually beat rock!

Super Bowl Sunday

2 great teams - Colts Vs. Bears. But it was a Colts night, 29 to 17. The best part of the whole game was this comment by the Colts coach, Tony Dungy. "I'm proud to be the first African-American coach to win this," Dungy said during the trophy ceremony. "But again, more than anything, Lovie Smith and I are not only African-American but also Christian coaches, showing you can do it the Lord's way. We're more proud of that."

On a totally unrealted subject, tonight is suppose to get to around -5 degrees with the wind chill. Crazy I say!

Yesterday was a particularly emotionally charged day, well this whole week has been really. Our Executive Director here at camp is leaving after 17 years. His family is moving down to North Carolina to answer God's calling on their lives, just as he did 17 years ago. Nate is one of the most real and genuine men of God I have had the privilege of knowing, let alone working with. He is a true Shepard and his leadership has been life changing.

In the beginning...

To say this is long overdue to truly an understatement. It’s been one of my new years resolutions for the past 4 years. The push over the edge was being inspired by the many great (and not so great) blogs I read every day, as well as the desire to keep in contact with friends and family around the world, and keep them up to date with the world of Bruce. That is if they haven’t given up on me yet from the lack of communication from my side.

So what will this look like? Who knows. Time will tell and hopefully it will be a good combination of random articles I find and thoughts that keep me awake at night, as well as anything worth reading about what I’m up to.
